Great Art Raffle Launch Party!
The Great Art Raffle Launch Party took place Thursday night, November 16th, at Cotton Brewing Company on Oak Street, in Adrian. There was a lively crowd and everyone had a great time! Guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks while listening to live music by Big C and Kaiden.
Professor of Printmaking and Book Arts, Mad Mohre, gave a presentation on the printmaking process, and Art majors Emilie Kamieniecki, Julia Zehetmair, and Emily Cueto introduced each of the artworks and provided information about each artist.
The artworks for this year's raffle were on display and include a Baole Mask from Africa as well as prints by Paul Klee, Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, and an original collage by Christo. See below for pictures of the event and the art available to win.
Money raised at the event and through the sale of the raffle tickets helps to support the John D. Wittersheim Sculpture Park. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $20 each for six chances to win one of the original works of art, with the drawing taking place September 7, 2018.
