Sculpture & Metalsmithing
The sculpture program at Siena is based on a contemporary cross-disciplinary approach to art making.
The program places an emphasis on helping students develop conceptually while effectively applying the formal elements and principles of design in creating a body of work that reflects the students individual personal and cultural identity.
Utilizing a wide variety of materials and technology, students create works that incorporate various artistic and academic disciplines. In addition to working with traditional tools and materials, students use the latest in digitally based sculpture equipment / processes to create work including installation art, kinetic / interactive art, video mapping, 3D printing, CNC cutting / milling and rotational casting.
