Areas of Study

SHU’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design will prepare students to be exceptional content creators and graduate students in an area of their choice including Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Illustration, and User Experience Design / User Interface Design. Through their selected program, students will ideate, iterate, implement, play, dialogue, and professionally present their work for the appropriate professional media landscape: advertising, communication, engineering, and marketing. 

SHU’s Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art will prepare students to be conceptual thinkers, creative problem solvers, and technically skilled makers. Our flexible curriculum integrates multiple areas of study including illustration, printmaking, book arts, ceramics, painting, photography, digital arts, and design. Through this experience, students will combine design thinking with their interdisciplinary arts practice to equip them for a professional life in the Arts.
